WHO IS ON THE COUNCIL?
The council is made up of office bearers, Mrs Wilson, head-teacher and Mrs Mackay, teacher rep, and representatives from each year group and each sub-group. The council meets five times per year, and minutes from all council & sub-group meetings, will eventually be put on the school web-site.

YEAR GROUP REPRESENTATIVES:
This is a new way of trying to get more parents involved from across the whole school. Each year-group has a representative on the council to try to share information and opinion between class and school.

SUB-GROUPS
As well as the year reps, the parent council supports sub-groups, which focus on single issues of interest to the school. We are always looking for people to join these groups, which are informal and welcome people who can offer skills or interests, such as gardening or health. Please contact the named person or myself for further information.
Fund-raising & Hospitality Group: Sharon Delworth
* Provides social activities which are fun & also raise funds for school.
* Provides refreshments at school events, eg Rose Day, If you don't want to be involved with fund-raising but could help with refreshments, then please let us know
Communication:
* Developing links between school and parents, eg help with publicity for events.
* Help to develop the school-website
Eco-group: Mr Kelly
* Support the school eco-team, especially with raising funds and helping to develop the garden.
Health promoting schools: Katrina Drummond
* Assists with developing Balgreen as a health promoting school.
Safer routes to schools: Colin Happer
* Helping to make our children safe
